I found out in the press that a month before the excessive bloodshed in the streets of Syria, the prestigious magazine Vogue had published a luxurious and exclusive report on the life and miracle of the very rich and beautiful first lady of the butcher of Damascus. And the first thing that caught my eye was the obscene statement that was made on the life of luxury and ostentation that this lady is living. I'll give you a few examples. Asma Al Asaad does not wear shoes made for the common people. No, her precious feet are adorned with shoes of Christian Louboutin, price US$700 for each pair, of course not forgetting glasses from Chanel to match. For her travels, she uses the Falcon 900 and waiting in line at the immigration is unheard of for her. I nearly forgot, she owns a palace built in the 11th century in the city of Aleppo. For the rest of the people, she is a woman of refinement, culture and possesses various master degrees, among which is one in Economics. She was born in London and has worked for the financial institution (pirates) JP Morgan, not to mention in the hedge funds department of Deutsche Bank Group.
She got to know her charming husband in London where Bashar Al Asaad obtained his Phd in ophthalmology, a career in which he has a real passion for, according to him, since there is minimal contact with blood. What a contradiction! It seems that the butcher is colour-blind and the only blood that he can see is probably his own when he cuts himself while shaving his ridiculous moustache. The blood of his people sure seems to be colourless. What can we expect of this stony faced and glacial person. The family Al Asaad is today the richest and most powerful in Syria, in great part due to the fortune amassed during the last years with the plans and reforms that was carried out by the regime. The privatisations in the public sector also favoured the wealth accumulation of the family, further proof of the corruption that exists in the country. On the other hand, unemployment stands at 25% while the riches of the country is controlled by 5% of the population.
I would like to ask that the first lady, Asma Al Asaad, if she has the time to spare after posing for Vogue, to make a trip to the hospitals of the country, where she will be able to witness the horrible state of the bodies of hundreds of peaceful protesters, after being massacred by the henchmen of her dear husband. It's about time that she stops playing the role of VIP while the blood of her people is about to flood her beautiful jacuzzi.
